Please reach us at  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

"Messianic church" or "Non-denominational church" best suits us.

Our goal from the beginning of MBF has been to create a place that feels familiar to folks around East Texas who grew up in church and now want to be Torah-pursuant. At the end of the day, we are not seeking a label; we are just a congregation of people who love God, follow the Messiah, are Spirit-filled, love each other, and are trying to live out the whole Bible to the best of our abilities.

Bible – period. We will not be preaching or teaching from any text other than the 66 books of the Bible.  Our goal is not to read into the Bible or to try to follow a dogma or doctrine, but for all theology to come straight from scripture. We have lots of churches in town that teach.

Christian church with some Jewish-looking / sounding aspects. Hopefully, before long, they find out it’s Bible stuff.  The intention of the familiarity should be more of a church; however, we will come across as too Sunday church for some and too Jewish for others.

Too broad a question that needs classification, but generally speaking... every "denomination" has its good and bad. That's a generalization that some would consider us part of. The problem with association by name here is that people have their own conclusions about what that means, because it's not necessarily a "denomination", and is therefore widely defined. In layman’s terms: Lots of good there, lots of other stuff. Eat the chicken, spit the bones.

Some, and we use it not because it's Jewish but because it is Hebrew and biblical.

It is not on a permanent basis, but if a worship leader feels led.
A little more is ok, as led. But what we have now is a good mix.
AYZ in town does quite a bit more, so we think they have that covered if someone is looking for more of that flavor.

We have a blended service, and we feel the mix is good. However, it is as the worship leaders feel led, so long as it is natural and organic. Roughly, we have a 75% contemporary Christian / 25% Messianic Jewish blend.

Sure, if you feel led. We can’t have a worship center for a Jewish Messiah where Jewish 'stuff' isn't welcome.

People need to call Messiah what they feel led. Yeshua, Jesus, Yahushua, this is not something we will divide on, or have an “official” title we use. You will hear different names interchangeably. He came as Mashiach ben Yoseph & will return as Mashiach ben David. We would rather teach about Him and His character, not how to say his name. Most of the time, the defense of a specific name pronunciation isn’t rooted in good Hebrew grammar to begin with.

No official "MBF translation". Children and youth ministries may choose one for consistency's sake as those leaders feel led.  For main service teachings and adult classes, it is up to the speaker.

That can be problematic without oversight. However, at MBF, we believe in empowering people and never want to squelch their callings or the message on their hearts. Therefore, with elder approval on the notes ahead of time, they can be worked in however the Pastor (who keeps the teaching schedule) sees fit.
